10 Years of Service Breakfast
We had an excellent turnout at the 10 Years of Service Kick-Off Breakfast yesterday, with 230 attendees! The Emerson ballroom was packed with past and current volunteers, donors, board members, program founders and community supporters, and attendance from multiple affiliated church groups, non-profits, and area businesses. We couldn’t have asked for a better group to celebrate 10 Years of Service in the Gallatin Valley.
What a group opportunity to share our program with the Bozeman area community, and showcase who we serve, why we serve, and how our volunteers and supporters make a big difference in the lives of homeless families.
Karen Olsen, founder of Family Promise in Summit, New Jersey, and President Emeritus, gave a wonderful speech reviewing her experience beginning Family Promise, watching the program grow across the country, and the impact that the organization has made on family homelessness nationwide. Karen retired as President of Family Promise in January of 2016, but will continue to visit affiliates across the United States, and will remain active as a volunteer and supporter of the organization.
Thank you to everyone who came to welcome Karen to Bozeman, hear about the impact our supporters have made since 2006, and helped us celebrate our 10 Years of Service in the Gallatin Valley!
Also, a special thanks to our volunteers that helped with event setup, run-of-show, and clean-up, including the Boy Scouts and RSVP!
Thank you to Susan at Country Flower for donating the beautiful center pieces for our breakfast. Susan has been a tremendous supporter of Family Promise for many events over the years. Thank you Country Flower.
